Maha Kathin Chibar Daan - 2019 at Agartala This year the Day is going to be really special, for all Chakma Buddhists in Agartala. For the first time Maha Kathin Chibar Daan is going to be organised at Saddhamma Bana Vihar, Chanmari, Agartala. It is not a big deal for other places like Chhamanu, Manikpur, Chhailengta, Nabinchera, for the Bana Viharas there have been organising such events every year. The event is scheduled for 18-19th October, 2019. It means lot of hard work, lot involvement of the practitioners. Twenty-four hours time is all to complete the process - spinning (to get thread) on charkha , rolling of thread, raising the weaving structure, weaving, cutting, stitching to colouring - and lastly the final product i.e. Kathin Chibar to be offered to the Bhikkhu Sangha.
